education
My beginnings with technology began long before I cracked open a book on the subject. It started with a natural love for learning, a deep curiosity of how things work, and an IBM 286 computer that my father brought home in 1990.
With a few Post-it notes hand-scribbled with DOS commands by my father, I was hooked...
Soon after, the World Wide Web became publicly available and by 1994 I was participating on forum discussions covering topics related to graphic design and web development.
After learning everything I could about graphic design and web development on internet forums in the early days of the internet. I published my first website at age 12. At 16, I was commissioned to build a site for a business for the first time. The website sucked, but I was pumped.
I eventually did make it into a classroom to study the craft as a student at Cal State Monterey Bay, but focused my studies on business to be able to translate what I already knew about technology to the people and companies who it could help.
What matters to me most now is bridging the gap.
The rest is history…
